Chelmsford Marathon and Half Marathon are major fundraising races for Little Havens Children's Hospice, with both distances starting and finishing at Central Park.
The accurately measured road courses begin among the tree lined avenues of the park before heading onto rural country lanes around Chelmsford. Both routes have an undulating profile, providing a challenging but rewarding race for runners targeting anything from a personal best to a good for age qualifying time.
Pacers are available for both distances subject to availability, while enthusiastic marshals and a well appointed event village contribute to the friendly race day atmosphere. The event has a six hour cut off.
Finishers receive a bespoke medal, with trophies and prizes for leading runners. The event provides an important fundraising opportunity for Little Havens, which offers specialist care and support to babies, children, young people and their families.
