Organised by Hermes Running, Thames Meander Summer is a riverside race event starting and finishing at Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts HQ in Richmond. The event offers three distances: 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon, all following the Thames Path on scenic out-and-back routes.
The courses are flat and runnable, making use of the Thames towpath with views along the river towards Kew Gardens and Barnes. The 10K follows a shorter out-and-back route to Kew, while the Half Marathon and Marathon continue further towards Barnes, with the Marathon completing two laps.
The event features well-marked and marshalled routes, stocked checkpoints, professional chip timing, medical support and a friendly race atmosphere. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, with awards presented to leading male and female runners across each distance.
