The Templeton 10 Mile is a well established road race organised by Dundee Roadrunners, taking runners onto scenic country roads around Templeton Woods and the outskirts of Dundee. The accurately measured route follows mainly a clockwise loop before returning through the woods for the final mile.
Runners tackle an undulating 10 mile course with mile markers, marshals and directional signage throughout. Two water stations are positioned at approximately three and seven miles, with additional water at the finish. The race is gun timed rather than chip timed, with a time limit of two hours and 20 minutes.
Registration takes place at Clatto Country Park Water Sports Centre, around a mile from the start on Templeton Road, with the finish located beside the registration centre. Finishers receive a goody bag and Templeton 10 memento, with refreshments and a prize presentation following the race.
