The Tavy 5K is a monthly race organised by Tavistock Athletic Club, starting from Tavistock College and following an officially measured course around the college grounds and The Meadows. Held on the third Saturday of each month, the event has an established local following and welcomes runners aged 11 and over.
The fast and flat 5K is run entirely on tarmac footpaths, providing a good course for runners looking to test their pace or chase a quicker time. The event is held under UK Athletics rules, with the straightforward route and regular monthly format making it suitable for both experienced racers and those building their confidence over 5K.
Registration opens at Tavistock College before the 9:15am start, with free parking available at the venue. Runners can return throughout the year to take on the same course, track their progress and challenge their previous Tavy 5K times.
