Calling All Yule Yompers!
After a snow-induced cancellation in 2022, the Tatton Yule Yomp makes a triumphant return in 2023...
After the disappointment of a cancelled event in 2022, organisers of the Tatton Yule Yomp are looking ahead to this year's outing with anticipation and lots of festive excitement. Commenting on social media recently Run North West said: "We are very sad that 2022 didn’t happen due to the extreme weather however we're really looking forward to seeing everyone this December."
Planned for 10 December, the Christmas-themed 10K will return to the beautiful Cheshire countryside and will see runners enjoy a trail race that attracts both club runners seeking to place and recreational runners enjoying a festive event, many in fabulous fancy dress!
Organisers continued: "The race is almost full with less than 70 spaces left! We can’t wait to see all those fab costumes on the day and to be once again judging our favourites for a special first prize of a pair of running shoes from Run North West. Plus the winning group will be awarded a free Run North West 10K entry of your choice each!"
The race is a one-lap course which runs through and around Tatton Park, consisting of undulating terrain, trail, grass, tarmac and gravel. The final 1K is on a fully closed road, back to Race HQ at Egerton Youth Club.
There will also be a family fun run on the day which starts as soon as the main 10K event has set off. Entries for this fantastic-festive offering are £7.50 and includes a medal for all finishers.
