Tamworth Gate Gallop

The Gate Gallop is a long established community trail running event in Tamworth that raises funds for St Giles Hospice. Held at Anker Valley Sports Complex, the event offers both 10K and 5K trail races, attracting runners of all abilities while supporting an important local cause.

The traffic free courses explore the fields, tracks and footpaths of the Anker Valley and Warwickshire countryside. Runners can expect a varied mix of grass, trails, tracks and short tarmac sections, with the 10K extending further into the valley and forming part of the Burton & District Summer League.

Known for its friendly atmosphere, community stalls and local support, the Gate Gallop combines accessible trail running with charitable fundraising. The scenic routes, welcoming event village and support for St Giles Hospice have helped make it a popular fixture in the Staffordshire running calendar.
