The Sutton Park Challenge is organised by Midland Mencap and takes place in Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield. Offering 1K, 5K and 10K distances, the event welcomes participants to run, jog, walk or wheel while raising funds to support people with learning disabilities, unpaid carers and their families across the West Midlands.
The routes follow the paths and trails of Sutton Park, with a hilly course that showcases one of Birmingham's largest and most popular green spaces. The inclusive format allows participants of all ages and abilities to complete their chosen distance at their own pace, with the courses suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs with consideration for the terrain.
Full route signage, marshals, water stations, medical support and event photography help provide a well organised experience. All finishers receive a commemorative medal, while the welcoming community atmosphere makes the Sutton Park Challenge a popular charity event.
