Glow With The Flow
Runners are ready for an enlightening experience at Supernova London 5K...
A supernova is described by Wikipedia as a powerful and luminous explosion of a star but Supernova London is an illuminated 5K run where you are the star and the next opportunity to put on your headtorch and glow with the flow is on Saturday 18 November 2023, with a start time of 6:00pm.
Ready...Steady...GLOW is the strapline of this exciting runABC South featured event and the final race in the Supernova 5K Series this year. There can be no more inspirational venue than London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where you will run in the footsteps of World and Olympic champions.
The course starts at the magical setting of the 114.5 metre tall ArcelorMittal Orbit structure and passes Stratford Waterfront, London Aquatics Centre, and loops around the stunning Olympic Stadium itself before finishing right where you started – surely one of the most dramatic 5K races you will ever run.
Previous Supernova London 5K races have seen more than 1,000 competitors, with the leading times below 17 minutes. Last year's winners were Lee Rogers (100 Marathon Club, 17:16) and Anouck Baudet (London City Runners, 20:37).
Every participant receives an LED head torch; Supernova buff; legendary Supernova group warm-up; finisher's medal and drawstring bag; chip timing; baggage facilities; hydration at the finish; personal results posted within 48 hours, plus the special Supernova running experience.
