The Summer Sunset Half & Long Ten is a coastal trail running event organised by Purple Gecko Events in support of Cornwall Air Ambulance. The event offers a Half Marathon and a 10.5K race, showcasing some of Cornwall's most spectacular coastline with evening starts designed to take advantage of the summer sunset.
The Half Marathon starts at The Watering Hole on Perranporth Beach before following the South West Coast Path to The Bowgie Inn at Crantock and returning to Perranporth. The 10.5K race starts at The Bowgie Inn and follows the coastal route to finish on Perranporth Beach. Both routes feature dramatic cliff top scenery, challenging coastal trails and panoramic sea views, with generous cut off times allowing runners to enjoy the experience.
All finishers receive a commemorative medal, with awards for leading finishers and free event photography included. Combining iconic Cornish coastal scenery, professionally organised trail running and support for Cornwall Air Ambulance, the Summer Sunset Half & Long Ten offers a memorable midsummer trail running experience.
