The Summer Farm Yard Five is organised by Preston, Fylde & Wyre Running in partnership with Farm Yard Brew Co. The event starts and finishes at the brewery near Lancaster and is the second race in the three race Farm Yard Five series.
The accurately measured 5M road course follows Gulf Lane through open countryside with views towards the Trough of Bowland before returning to the brewery. The fast, flat route offers excellent conditions for runners chasing a quick time, with a halfway aid station available on the course.
The race is held under a road running licence and includes medical cover, friendly marshals and free parking. Finishers receive a voucher for a pint of beer or a soft drink, while the brewery taproom and street food create a welcoming post race atmosphere.
