The Summer Coast Road 5K is organised by New Marske Harriers AC and is one of the five races in the Coast Road Series. Held in Redcar, it forms the mid summer 5K event within the series, alongside the Easter Coast 5 Mile, Spring 5K, Summer Coast Road 5 Mile and Autumn 5K.
The accurately measured 5K road course follows Redcar’s coastal route, providing a fast, flat race with the opportunity for quick times. The evening event attracts runners of all abilities and is held under a UK Athletics licence.
The race is chip timed and numbers are collected on the day. After the event, runners are invited back to Redcar Rugby Club, where competitors can enjoy refreshments, adding to the friendly atmosphere of this popular summer series.
