The Stoodley Pike Fell Race is organised by Todmorden Harriers and takes place from the Top Brink Inn at Lumbutts near Todmorden. This classic midweek fell race covers 5K with approximately 213 metres of ascent, attracting runners for a fast and demanding climb to one of the South Pennines' most recognisable landmarks.
The course climbs steeply from Lumbutts to the iconic Stoodley Pike Monument before returning to the finish on a mixture of rough tracks, grassy paths and fell trails. The combination of sustained climbing, fast descending and expansive views across the Pennines creates a rewarding challenge for experienced fell runners and those new to the discipline.
Held under Fell Runners Association rules, the event welcomes both individual runners and teams, with entry available on the day. Combining traditional fell racing, spectacular hill scenery and friendly club organisation, the Stoodley Pike Fell Race remains a popular fixture in the Yorkshire summer fell running calendar.
