Hurry up and enter this year's ESSAR Chester Half Marathon which is all set to take place on Sunday 19 May. It is one of the UK’s longest running and most loved half marathons with 2024 the event's 42nd year on the race calendar.

The late spring event has it all! A fast and beautiful course through the stunning city of Chester as well as the beautiful, lush Cheshire countryside. The route has been designed with all runners in mind from first timers and fun-runners through to real running enthusiasts and elites.

Beginning at Chester Racecourse the route navigates through the vibrant historic sights of Chester, before heading into some beautiful local villages before culminating in a breathtaking city centre finish.

Organisers say: "Our vibe is very much about your race day experience, and this begins from the moment you enter with us. We’ll keep you updated and involved and ready to get the best out of race day. We have the best team of pacers – running 10-minute intervals from 1:30 hours to 2:30 hours. Known for being the friendliest on the circuit, our pacers will help you run a great race."
