ATW Stevenage Winter Half Marathon & 10K is organised by Active Training World, with both main races starting and finishing on the athletics track at Ridlins Stadium in Hertfordshire. The event brings together two road racing distances and a free children's 400m fun run, providing a family friendly fixture towards the end of the running year.
The courses follow traffic free tarmac paths through Stevenage, with the 10K incorporating a shorter circuit around Fairlands Valley Park. Half Marathon runners complete two laps, extending further into the park on the second circuit to reach the full 21.1K distance. The predominantly level paths include some undulations, while the stadium finish provides a distinctive conclusion to both races.
Chip timing, course marshals and pacers support runners around the routes. Finishers receive a commemorative medal, refreshments and free official photography. The event village features live music, catering and massage facilities, with a festive atmosphere welcoming runners and supporters back to Ridlins Stadium.
