Starcross Shuffle is a seven hour flexible distance running challenge based in Starcross, Devon. The scenic route follows the Exe Estuary and passes the grounds of Powderham Castle, with runners choosing how far they want to complete during the event.
Runners tackle repeated out and back laps and can build their chosen distance from a single lap through to 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon or Ultra distances. The largely flat route follows the Exe Estuary Trail towards Turf Lock, with the out and back format bringing participants together regularly throughout their challenge.
The flexible format allows runners to stop after any completed lap or continue for as much of the seven hour event as they wish. Its waterside setting combines views across the Exe Estuary with surrounding Devon countryside and the possibility of spotting deer around the Powderham Castle estate.
