The STAR Backyard Peaslake is the first event in Surrey Trek and Run's new Backyard Trail Event series, with future events planned at Holmbury St Mary and Shere. Taking place in the Surrey Hills after dark, the event offers a unique endurance challenge for both solo runners and teams.
Starting from Peaslake Community Hall, participants have three hours to complete as many 5K laps as possible. The route climbs gradually towards Pitch Hill before descending back to the start, combining woodland trails, hill running and night time adventure. As a head torch event, runners experience the trails in a completely different atmosphere from daytime races.
Alongside the solo challenge, teams of three can compete in a relay format, taking turns to complete laps throughout the evening. Whether aiming for a single lap or pushing for maximum distance before time runs out, the STAR Backyard Peaslake provides an enjoyable and accessible trail running challenge in the heart of the Surrey Hills.
