The Stanhope 10 Miler is a challenging mixed terrain race through the heart of the Durham Dales. Starting from Stanhope, the route climbs the Killing Me Softly Bank towards Bollihope before continuing across the uplands and returning to finish at Stanhope Showfield. Around 90% of the course is on road with the remaining 10% on grass and trail.
Organised as a non profit event supporting local charities, the race provides marshalled roads, water stations, distance markers, baggage storage and first aid cover. Registration takes place at Stanhope Showfield Agricultural Shed, with separate starts for walkers and runners and all proceeds helping the nominated charity.
The Stanhope 10 Miler follows a demanding route through the Durham Dales, featuring sustained climbs, open moorland scenery and a finish back in the centre of Stanhope.
