The St Sunday Sky Race is organised by Lake District Sky Trails and takes place in Patterdale, in the heart of the eastern Lake District. The event is a 29K mountain race designed as an introduction to skyrunning, taking runners through some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Lake District National Park.
The course climbs over St Sunday Crag and the surrounding Eastern Fells, featuring steep ascents, technical descents, rocky sections, single-track trails and mountain paths. With approximately 2,050m of ascent, the route provides a challenging test of mountain running ability while showcasing the dramatic scenery of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The event includes a fully marked course, manned checkpoints, feed station, electronic timing and tracking, safety support and a post-race meal. With its combination of technical trails, mountain adventure and a supportive race environment, the St Sunday Sky Race offers an exciting challenge for experienced trail runners looking to experience skyrunning in the Lake District.
