Organised by Hayle Runners, the St Ives Bay 10K takes place at Hayle Surf Lifesaving Club on the Cornish coast. The race is Round 2 of the Cornwall Multi Terrain Series and is held under UKA rules, with a separate 1 Mile beach fun run for under 16s taking place before the main event.
The all off road 10K starts on the beach before heading towards Godrevy Lighthouse and onto the Towans dune system. The route combines beach running, sandy trails and undulating dune paths, including the well known Dune of Doom, before returning along the beach to the finish.
The event is fully chip timed and includes a bespoke finisher medal, changing facilities, toilets and a water station. As a cupless event, runners should bring their own reusable cup. With its distinctive coastal course and friendly club organisation, the St Ives Bay 10K is one of Cornwall's most memorable summer trail races.
