New Run Rabbit Run Trail Festival

Spring into action at new Run Rabbit Trail Festival

A new trail running weekender opens in May with three standalone events or The Quest to choose from. Expect scenic courses, camping and entertainment at The Run Rabbit Trail Festival from Thump Events.

The off-road fun takes place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May at Marston Lodge Farm in Market Harborough. This working farm is located on the Northamptonshire and Leicestershire border and its hills, forests and fields are ideal for a trail running event that is accessible to all.

The three trail runs vary in difficulty and are suitable for the newcomer as well as the seasoned competitor. There is the Headlight Hop 10K on Saturday at 7.30pm, an early evening event on an undulating multi-terrain route with superb views.

Also on Saturday is the Trail Mix Challenge starting at 12 noon and finishing at 5pm. The aim is to complete a different 5k course on the hour during this time ( a total of 25k), factoring in breaks to refuel and rest. This is perfect for runners who regularly complete 5k and 10k races and there is a medal for every finisher.

For fans of the 13.1 mile distance there is the Thump Half Marathon on Sunday, a two lap event on a different course to the Headlight Hop. There is the option to drop down to 10K and complete one lap only.

Last but not least is the Quest for the Golden Carrot. Runners have to complete all three events within 24 hours and the fastest 6 men and women will qualify for the one mile ‘Carrot Dash’.

Entries are open for the Run Rabbit Trail Festival. Visit the Thump Events website for details.
