This road race was first held at the Spilsby Show in July 1998. Originally planned as a fun run, it has grown into a fully affiliated race with the most recent event attracting hundreds of entrants. The race has become one of the most popular attractions at the event and continues to go from strength to strength with regular investment in new technology, most recently with the addition of chipped timing.
