Somerset Spring Half Marathon & 10K is organised by Inertia Events and follows quiet roads across the open landscape of the Somerset Levels.
Both routes start and finish at Sweets Tea Rooms and use flat, tarmacked roads with very limited traffic. The Half Marathon covers 21.1K with 211m of elevation, while the 10K has 86m of climbing. Runners, walkers and Jeffers are all welcome, with no formal race cut-off.
The routes are signed and supported by marshals, first aid and aid stations providing water, energy drink, bananas and sweets. Every participant receives an official recorded finish time, while entrants can choose whether to receive a route-specific medal. Event photography is also included.
