Revving Up For RunFest

With a mix of distances and a bucket-list location this event is heading for another sell-out...

RunFest Silverstone is back on 23 November, offering runners the unforgettable chance to swap racing cars for running shoes and take on the world-famous Formula One track. Following a debut event that drew over 5,000 participants, the festival of running returns bigger and better, with four distances to suit every ability - half marathon, 10K, 5K and a Family Mile.

The legendary circuit provides a unique backdrop, with participants tackling some of Silverstone’s most iconic sections, including Stowe Corner, Vale and the Hangar Straight. To run on the same smooth tarmac that has hosted Formula One greats such as Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna adds a sense of drama and excitement rarely found in a road race.

The half marathon will test endurance and focus, offering a flat, fast course that’s perfect for those aiming to close out their season with a PB. The 10K strikes a balance of speed and stamina and is ideal for club runners and recreational athletes alike, while the 5K is designed to be accessible and fun. The Family Mile ensures that younger runners and beginners can also soak up the unique Silverstone atmosphere, making it a true celebration of running for all ages.

Organisers say: "RunFest Silverstone is more than just a race, with all-day entertainment, music and food stalls ensuring a festival atmosphere for runners, supporters and families. Early registration is strongly advised to guarantee a place!"
