The Summits of the North York Moors Ultra is a 120 mile trail ultra marathon following a circular route across the North York Moors National Park. The course links the ten highest hills in the moors, covering around 16,000ft of elevation over a demanding long distance challenge.
Runners follow sections of the Cleveland Way, Esk Valley Walk and Lyke Wake Walk, passing ancient sites, stone markers and open moorland landscapes along the route. The terrain combines established trails, tracks and upland paths with long climbs and wide ranging views throughout.
The event allows up to 35 hours to complete the course, creating a demanding endurance challenge through one of England’s best known trail running landscapes.
