Nuts Trail Races offer an approximately four mile coastal challenge between Silver Sands and Burntisland, combining runnable trails with woodland and sea views.

Following an out and back section of the Fife Coastal Path, the course is designed to be accessible to novice runners while still providing an enjoyable challenge for more experienced competitors.
Underfoot conditions are predominantly good quality trail with some tarmac sections. The route is fairly flat with gentle undulations, passing through wooded areas before opening out to extensive views across the Fife coastline.
Race headquarters and number collection are at the Beach Ranger's Office at Silver Sands. The event is permitted by the Association of Running Clubs and held under ARC rules, with Fife Coast and Countryside Trust helping to facilitate the event.
All finishers receive a race medal, with prizes for the first three male and female runners as well as winners across a range of age categories.
