The Sidlaw Ultra is a 69K mixed terrain running event organised by Wee Run Events, taking runners from Glamis Castle in Angus to Scone Palace near Perth. The point to point route crosses the Sidlaw Hills, combining a demanding endurance challenge with scenic views across the Scottish countryside.
The course follows woodland trails, farm tracks, grassy moorland and hillside paths, with approximately 1,405 metres of ascent. Runners tackle steep climbs and exposed hilltops along a marked and marshalled route. Water is available at checkpoints, with drop bags transported between designated locations and GPS trackers provided for participant safety.
Entry includes bus transport from Scone Palace to the start, chip timing, medical support and a hot meal at the finish. Every finisher receives a medal, with prizes for leading runners and additional spot prizes awarded by marshals. An optional early start is available for those wanting more time to complete the course.
