Discover the beauty of Sherwood Forest at the Sherwood Pines 20 Mile, Half Marathon & 10K, a scenic trail running event set among the towering trees of one of Nottinghamshire's most spectacular woodland locations. Organised by Nice Work, the event offers a choice of distances for runners of varying abilities, from those tackling their first 10K to experienced athletes looking to build endurance ahead of a spring marathon.

The routes wind through Sherwood Pines, following a network of forest trails, bridleways and woodland footpaths. The half marathon features two laps, while the 10K follows a single-lap course and the 20-mile race explores an extended route. With an undulating profile, several challenging inclines and rewarding downhill sections, runners can expect a varied course, predominantly on firm forest tracks, although muddy patches may add to the challenge following wet weather.

With its peaceful woodland surroundings, beautiful scenery and welcoming atmosphere, Sherwood Pines offers an enjoyable alternative to traditional road racing. The longer distances provide an excellent opportunity to test endurance and prepare for marathon challenges, while the 10K appeals to runners seeking a shorter off-road adventure. A dedicated junior race also gives younger participants the chance to experience the excitement of race day.
