The Settle Hills Race is a classic Yorkshire Dales fell race that takes runners through the dramatic limestone landscape surrounding Settle. Hosting the 2026 Yorkshire Senior and Under 23 Fell Running Championships, the event offers a demanding challenge across some of the area's most scenic terrain.
Covering approximately 7 miles, the route begins with a steep climb out of Settle before crossing rough fellside terrain above Attermire Scar. Runners pass landmarks including Jubilee Cave and High Hill, tackling a mixture of fast trails, grassy trods, rugged ground and a steep descent before returning to the finish at North Ribblesdale Rugby Club.
Run under Fell Runners Association rules, the race combines technical terrain, sustained climbs and spectacular Yorkshire Dales scenery. Its blend of challenging fell running and iconic limestone landscapes makes the Settle Hills Race a standout event for experienced off road runners.
