This guided ultra follows sections of the Serpent Trail starting from Haslemere and covering around 30 miles through the greensand hills of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire. The route links a mix of heathland, woodland trails and open countryside, passing landmarks such as Blackdown and Temple of the Winds before heading across varied rural terrain.
The course is fully supported and run as a social group effort rather than a race, with an experienced ultra runner guiding the pace and route throughout. Terrain is generally runnable with steady climbs, open heath sections and forest tracks, offering a long but accessible introduction to ultra distance running in the South Downs landscape.
