The Seagrave Wolds Challenge is a cross country run and walk organised from Seagrave War Memorial Hall in Leicestershire, with proceeds supporting local charities and community organisations.
The route changes each time but is typically around 16 miles, exploring the hilly countryside of the Leicestershire Wolds. Participants follow footpaths and sections of private land across varied multi terrain surfaces, with the emphasis on completing a demanding countryside challenge rather than competitive racing. Runners and walkers take part together, and well behaved dogs are welcome.
Food and drink stops are provided along the course to support participants over the distance. At the finish, refreshments traditionally include cobs, cakes and Seagrave apple crumble. The event raises funds for organisations including Seagrave Village Church, Seagrave War Memorial Hall, the village school and the Royal British Legion.
