Salt Settlers Six Hour Race is a looped endurance event in Budleigh Salterton, East Devon, organised by Climb South West / Ultra Trail Events.
Runners take on a flat 4.5km circuit and complete as many loops as they choose within the six-hour race period. There is no time limit for individual laps, making the format suitable for runners targeting anything from a shorter challenge through to half marathon, marathon or ultra distance.
Five completed loops take runners beyond half marathon distance, while 10 loops amount to approximately a marathon. The event has previously welcomed both individual runners and pairs, with pairs competing as a relay and changing runners between loops.
The compact format provides a central event base, with participants repeatedly returning to the race HQ and aid station throughout their challenge.
