The Rushmoor Wellesley 10K is a mixed terrain race through the green spaces around Aldershot, with a 5K and community fun run completing the programme. Starting on the Polo Fields, the routes make use of traffic free paths before finishing inside the nearby athletics stadium.
The 10K follows the Basingstoke Canal towpath before passing through Wellesley Woodlands, where winding paths and a short rougher section add variety to an otherwise flat course. The 5K also uses the Polo Fields and canal towpath, providing a shorter and very flat alternative, while both routes are clearly marked and supported by marshals.
Runners in the 10K and 5K receive chip timed results and a bespoke medal at the finish. The accompanying 2K fun run takes place entirely on the traffic free Polo Fields, giving younger runners and families an accessible way to join the event.
