Wimbledon Half Marathon is organised by Run UK, with the race starting and finishing beside Rushmere Pond on Wimbledon Common in southwest London. The event takes runners beyond the famous common and into the surrounding Wimbledon area, combining a well known green space with the streets of this part of the capital.
The course begins near King's College School before heading through Wimbledon, with runners returning to the common for the finish. The organiser promotes the race as a road running challenge, although a detailed current route description and reliable elevation profile have not been published. The setting provides a contrast between the open landscape of Wimbledon Common and the surrounding residential streets.
Chip timing is provided, with a commemorative medal and refreshments awaiting finishers. Race day facilities include free baggage storage, toilets, medical support and official photography. A group warm-up takes place shortly before the start, while local organisations and supporters contribute to the race atmosphere.
