All set for Alsager?
Turbo charged race will kick off the 2023 NSRRA League Programme.
Speed is what entrants in the Alsager 5 will need when, at 11am on Sunday 5 February, they’ll go flat out for fast times at the beginning of the race season. Ladies and Gentlemen...start your engines...
The VeloRunner Alsager 5 is Race 1 of 20 in the North Staffordshire Road Runners Association (NSRRA) Fixture List for 2023. It’s always a popular event with runners near and far who relish the opportunity to bag a PB early in the year and collect points based upon their finishing positions.
Both the 5 Mile and Virtual 5 Mile have sold out – again, a reflection of the appeal of this event: the course, atmosphere and support along with a bespoke medal which altogether make for an enjoyable day’s racing.
Richard Allen of Leeds AC and Kate Holt of City of Stoke AC were the male and female winners of the 2022 race. Who will be in the mix for this year’s titles?
Expect good turnouts from local clubs including South Cheshire Harriers, City of Stoke AC, Newcastle (Staffs) AC to name but a few. There’ll be hard fought battles at the sharp end and personal satisfaction for those trying the distance for the first time – all worthy of celebration.
Rolling road closures enable everyone to stay safe as they run around the town whilst being cheered on by residents: to be followed by a sprint across the finish line at Alsager Leisure Centre where their moment of glory will be captured by Mick Hall.
The VeloRunner Alsager 5 is a true test of your winter training. This is where you find out if it is working.....or not!
