Run Media City takes place at MediaCity UK in Salford on a flat, traffic managed road course designed for fast running. Starting and finishing in the Media City Piazza, the route follows a 2.5K loop through MediaCity UK, crossing the Millennium Bridge and passing the Imperial War Museum alongside the BBC and ITV studios. The 5K completes two laps, while the 10K covers four laps.
Organised by RunThrough, the event is chip timed and includes accurately marked kilometre splits, a themed finisher's medal, free official race photos and post race refreshments. Friendly marshals support runners throughout the evening, making it a popular midweek race for all abilities.
