Run Heaton 5K, 10K & Half Marathon October

Run Heaton Park brings together a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and Junior Race within one of Manchester's largest and most historic parks. Set among the extensive grounds surrounding the Grade I listed Heaton Hall, the event provides a scenic parkland setting just north of Manchester city centre and a choice of distances for adults and younger runners.

The Half Marathon, 10K and 5K follow undulating routes around Heaton Park, with runners taking on the park's climbs and descents as they progress through their chosen distance. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags, while marshals are positioned around the course to guide and support runners. The varied profile makes the event more challenging than a flat city road race while remaining suitable for a broad range of running abilities.

A separate Junior Race gives younger participants an opportunity to take part later in the day. RunThrough provides chip timing for the main races, a staffed event village and post race refreshments and goodies from event partners, creating a full morning of running within the historic Heaton Park grounds.
