Run Garioch 2020

Run Garioch races will put a spring your step

There’ll be fantastic food, family fun and a springtime challenge for everyone when Run Garioch, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire’s annual festival of running returns on Sunday, 29 March 2020.

Primary-school children can take part in one of the three events that make up the CP&Co. Junior Run: Category 1 (ages 4, 5, 6), Category 2 (ages 7, 8, 9) and Category 3 (ages 10, 11, 12).

Everyone over the age of 13 can take on the eGroup 5K. Now in its 10th year, it’s a perfect race both for those new to running as well as those who want to push themselves.

Also celebrating its first decade, the Bon Accord Glass Half Marathon (age 17+) is tough but rewarding, offering runners a quiet, scenic and undulating route through the beautiful Garioch countryside.

The main event, the Dandara 10K (age 16+), is a mix of town and country and a great step up for parkrunners looking to increase their distance.

Run Garioch will be supported on the day by hundreds of volunteers and six local charities – CLAN, Charlie House, Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, Inspire PTL, The ARCHIE Foundation and Friends of the Neonatal Unit.

All proceeds from Run Garioch support these and other local charities, including the Garioch Sports Centre itself.

Entries are now open at the event website and close on Sunday, 1 March, or when a race reaches capacity.
