The Run Exe 5K July is the fourth race in the popular Run Exe 5K Summer Series, organised by City Runs in Exeter. Taking place on a fast, accurately measured course, the series attracts runners of all abilities, from first time 5K participants to experienced club athletes chasing personal best performances.

The traffic free route follows smooth footpaths and cycle tracks around Exwick Playing Fields and the River Exe Flood Relief Scheme. Its flat profile, wide paths and fast running conditions make it ideal for quick times while providing a welcoming environment for runners of every standard.

The event features chip timing, kilometre markers, pacemakers and a fully marshalled course, with every race contributing to the overall Run Exe 5K Summer Series. Combining professional organisation, a fast riverside route and a friendly midweek atmosphere, the July race is a highlight of Exeter's summer running calendar.
