Run A Way 10K is organised by Libra Races and gives runners the unusual opportunity to race at night on the runway at Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
Taking place on Halloween, the 10K starts after dark and uses the airport's flat runway beneath the landing lights. The evening has a Halloween theme, with music in the event village and Vecna and Demogorgon joining the field as tail walkers. A 2.2K Fun Run takes place before the main race, giving younger runners and families the opportunity to experience the runway too.
The 10K is chip timed, with runners receiving a distinctive glow-in-the-dark finisher's medal. With an exceptionally flat course and the unusual setting of an illuminated airport runway, this is a very different racing experience from a conventional road 10K.
