The Royton Trail is a 6.4 Mile multi terrain race organised by Royton Road Runners and based at Royton Cricket Club in Greater Manchester. First held in 2007, the event has grown into a popular summer evening fixture, attracting runners from across the North West.
The undulating course starts and finishes at Royton Cricket Club before heading onto a predominantly rural route combining trails, tracks and quiet roads. The varied terrain and rolling profile provide an enjoyable challenge while showcasing the countryside surrounding Royton.
The event is chip timed and features prizes for leading finishers, with race facilities including changing rooms, toilets and refreshments available at race headquarters. Combining friendly club organisation, scenic multi terrain running and a well established history, the Royton Trail has become a popular fixture in the Greater Manchester running calendar.
