Roly's Run
Roly's Run offers 15, 20 and 40 mile trail challenges through the Meon Valley and South Downs, with substantial climbing and testing terrain.

Roly's Run is organised by Chalk and Mud Trail Running and held in the Meon Valley in memory of Rich Walklate, known as Roly.
Starting and finishing at Swanmore Village Hall, the clockwise routes explore the trails and hills surrounding Beacon Hill, Exton and Meonstoke. The longer distances continue onto the South Downs Way and Winchester Hill, while the 40 mile route extends through East Meon, Ramsdean and Butser Hill.
Around 80% of the courses are on trail, with significant climbing and sections that can become challenging underfoot in wet conditions. The routes include chalk paths, loose stones, tree roots and steep descents before returning towards Swanmore along the old railway line via Droxford.
Courses are marked and GPX files are provided, with fully stocked checkpoints along the way. Walkers are also welcome on the shorter distance options.
