The Riverside Half Marathon is a road race featuring a Half Marathon and 10K from Lancaster Quay. Starting close to the George & Dragon, the route follows the Lune Estuary Footpath, providing runners with a predominantly traffic free course and scenic views across the River Lune and the surrounding estuary.
Organised by Lancaster Runners Club as part of the Lancaster Race Series, the event is run under UK Athletics rules with certified courses, marshalled routes, regular drinks stations, mile markers and race HQ facilities at the George & Dragon. Finishers receive a medal, with Half Marathon entrants also receiving an event T shirt.
The Riverside Half Marathon is a popular summer race for runners aiming to enjoy a flat, scenic and well organised route. With a Half Marathon and 10K available, it offers an excellent opportunity to achieve a fast time while experiencing one of Lancashire's most picturesque riverside running routes.
