River Wyre 4 Mile Run starts and finishes at Wyre Estuary Country Park in Stanah. The inaugural 4 mile route follows newly completed riverside footpaths towards Skipool Boat and Yacht Club before returning through the country park, with a firm surface of concrete and tarmac finished with a light grit covering for secure footing in wet conditions.
Organised by Wyre Running, the event is limited to 150 runners and includes medals and goody bags for the first 100 finishers. Facilities include ample parking, toilets and the River Wyre Estuary Café, with prizes awarded across open and veteran categories alongside spot prizes and café vouchers.
