The Richmond Marathon is part of the Richmond RUN-FEST weekend, one of London's most popular running festivals. Starting within the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, the marathon combines historic landmarks, riverside scenery and a fast course that attracts both first time marathon runners and experienced competitors.

The 26.2 mile route passes through Kew Gardens before following the River Thames, taking in locations including Richmond Riverside, Ham House, Teddington Lock, Kingston Riverside and Hampton Court Palace. The course is predominantly flat, using a mixture of roads, paths and riverside towpaths, before finishing at Old Deer Park in Richmond.

Combining marathon distance with iconic London scenery, a festival atmosphere and one of the flattest marathon routes in the capital, the Richmond Marathon offers a memorable running experience in the heart of south west London.
