Lancashire Rose XC League Heaton Park brings runners from affiliated clubs across the region together for a programme of cross country racing in one of Manchester's best known parks.
The event forms part of the Lancashire Rose Cross Country League, established through the merger of the Red Rose and South East Lancashire leagues. The series features four fixtures at Leigh Sports Village, Heaton Park, Marl Pits and Sefton Park, providing competitive racing across different courses and conditions.
Races cater for junior athletes from under 10 through to under 18, alongside under 20, senior and masters competitors. The programme begins with the youngest age groups before progressing through the junior categories to the senior races. Chip timing is used throughout the league, with both affiliated club runners and eligible guest competitors able to participate.
