Two New Events In Sherwood This Summer
Rasselbock Running returns to Sherwood this summer with two brand new events...
Trail runners are being invited to head to Sherwood Pines Forest this summer as Rasselbock returns on 12 July with a full day of off road racing in Nottinghamshire. Set among the scenic forest trails, the event offers something for every level of runner, from those stepping up to a new distance to experienced endurance athletes.
The single lap Rasselbock Half Marathon takes runners on a picturesque route through the woodland with a generous cut off time of more than seven hours, creating an inclusive atmosphere for runners and walkers alike.
For those ready to go longer, the Rasselbock Marathon features a two lap course through the same stunning surroundings. With an eight hour cut off, organisers are keen to welcome runners of all abilities to take on the challenge of a summer marathon on the trails.
New for 2026 is the Mini Rasselbock, an 8.5K route designed for those who are not quite ready for a half marathon or who want to try trail running for the first time. With a cut off time of two and a half hours, it offers an accessible introduction to the Rasselbock experience while still delivering the beauty of Sherwood Pines.
Also making its debut is the Rasselbock Ultra. Covering just over 50K across two and a half loops of the forest course, the ultra adds an extra test for endurance runners. With an eight hour cut off, it promises a rewarding but demanding day out on the trails.
As well as the racing, participants and supporters can enjoy a lively event village with music, an MC, local food and drink vendors and small businesses. Open throughout the day, the event village is set to provide a welcoming hub where families and friends can relax and cheer runners across the finish line.
