Race to the King is one of the flagship events in the Threshold Trail Series, taking runners through the spectacular landscapes of the South Downs National Park. Based at West Dean Gardens near Chichester, the event offers a range of trail running challenges from 30K and 50K routes through to 80K and 100K ultra distances.
Participants follow a mixture of historic trails, rolling downs, woodland tracks and scenic countryside, with routes taking in highlights including the South Downs Way, Monarch's Way, Chichester Harbour and Arundel Castle. The variety of terrain and route options makes the event suitable for both first time ultra runners and experienced endurance athletes.
