Race for Life Wrexham 5K and 10K is organised by Cancer Research UK and takes place at Alyn Waters Country Park (Llay Side) in Wrexham. The event forms part of the Race for Life series, offering participants the choice of 5K and 10K distances while raising funds for life-saving cancer research.
The courses start and finish on the main field within Alyn Waters Country Park. Both routes combine grass and gravel woodland paths through the park and alongside the River Alyn, with the 10K completing two laps of the 5K course. The mainly flat terrain includes a handful of short climbs, providing an enjoyable multi-terrain challenge for runners, joggers and walkers alike.
