The Maidstone Race for Life 5K takes place in Mote Park and is organised by Cancer Research UK. This welcoming charity event encourages participants of all ages and abilities to walk, jog or run the 5K while raising vital funds for life saving cancer research.
The course starts and finishes on grass before following a varied route around the park's lake on a mixture of paths, cross country terrain and parkland trails. A number of steeper inclines add extra challenge, while the scenic surroundings of one of Kent's most popular parks provide an enjoyable setting throughout the event.
The event offers a friendly and supportive atmosphere where participants can complete the course at their own pace. Well organised facilities and the opportunity to support an important cause have made the Maidstone Race for Life 5K a popular fixture in Kent's summer running calendar.
