Preston Harriers 10 Mile Road Race is a long-established event at Hutton, first held in 1981 and regularly attracting more than 500 runners.
The fast and flat road course starts on Moor Lane, close to Hutton Grammar School, and follows two laps before finishing at Hutton Village Hall. Its quick profile makes the race particularly attractive to runners targeting a personal best. The 10-mile race also incorporates the Lancashire AA 10 Mile Road Championship and Northern Masters AC 10 Mile Championship.
A separate 5-mile race follows one lap of the same course, providing a shorter option as part of the event. Both races are chip timed and all finishers receive a technical race T-shirt, while individual and age-category prizes are awarded in the 10-mile race.
